Funding Request Process & Eligibility

Review Mike Tomczak Foundation’s Funding Request Targets and Eligibility to determine if your organization’s work aligns with the goals and objectives of the Foundation.

Applicants will complete a funding request proposal. The instructions are found on this website.

Applicants should be a charitable organization currently recognized by the IRS as a pubic charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.

Applicants serve young adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities

To further clarify what types of requests are appropriate, the list below describes projects and activities not eligible for a request for funds:

Fundraiser/gala events

Endowment campaigns

Stand-alone sponsorships, competitions, walks, athletic events, and tournaments etc.

Political activities, causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns including direct or grass roots lobbying

Organizations that discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected class as recognized by United States law

Timeline for requests: The Foundation is excited to be in its first cycle of funding awards to programs who serve young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Foundation will open request for funding proposals by the end of summer, 2020. Proposals will be due by November 15, 2020 and awards will be announced by December 31, 2020.
